19.12.24 – 12.01.25, #168 Simon Breynaert & Charlotte Rood, Threshold Appearance, Appearance

A search for a meeting point between their respective practices — an exploration of how architecture, sound, and mapping can be interconnected and how they can redefine the way we experience the world.
For this exhibition, Simons’ architectural interventions and digital mappings explore how the function and experience of a corridor can be redefined. The corridor transforms from a passageway into a framework for observation and reflection.
In response to this (or his) work, Charlotte presents a sound experiment, “From Far to Near,” recorded directly in and around the glass corridor. This work reveals the hidden acoustic dimensions that surround us and invites us to listen deeply.
Together, they create a space where the boundaries between physical and sonic landscapes blur, allowing us to reflect on the transformative nature of space.
